Cowgirl Equestrian Concludes Season Ranked Fourth in NCEA

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's equestrian team checked in as the No. 4 team in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's final rankings of the 2023-24 season, the organization announced Friday.
OSU jumped two spots after upsetting then-No. 3 Auburn in the quarterfinals round of the NCEA tournament in Ocala, Fla, before nearly toppling eventual champion SMU in the semifinals.
For the ninth straight season, the Cowgirls ended the season with a winning record at 9-7 with a 6-2 mark in Big 12 competition. Head coach Larry Sanchez' career record is now 186-106.
OSU won its fourth-straight conference title, becoming the first program in Big 12 equestrian history to accomplish that feat. The Cowgirls now have 10 conference titles to their name, which is tied for the most by any equestrian team in the NCEA (Auburn, SEC).
Claire McDowall and Riley Hogan were named All-Americans for the second-straight season and five Cowgirls were landed on the All-Big 12 team. Six different Cowgirls earned a Big 12 Rider of the Month accolade while McDowall and Grace McReynolds each picked up an NCEA monthly honor for their respective events.
