Cowgirl Softball Rises to Consensus Top-Five Team

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team climbed in the national rankings following its fifth-straight win during the seventh week of Big 12 play. The Cowgirls are ranked No. 4 by ESPN.com/USA Softball and No. 4 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll. OSU also comes in at No. 12 in the NCAA RPI rankings based on its wins, losses, and strength of schedule.

This past week, OSU notched a 6-5 midweek victory over Wichita State and swept Texas Tech in convincing fashion, outscoring the Red Raiders by a combined margin of 30-7.
Oklahoma State will round out its seven-game homestand this week with a midweek contest at 6 p.m. Wednesday against North Texas and a three-game set with conference foe Kansas this weekend from April 26-28 at Cowgirl Stadium.
