The Basics
The No. 6/6 Oklahoma State softball team (35-8 overall, 13-5 Big 12) rounds out its road trip with a midweek contest at 6 p.m. at Wichita State on Wednesday, April 17. The Cowgirls then return home for week seven of Big 12 play with a three-game series against Texas Tech from April 19-21. Friday's opener is slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch, with Saturday set for 2 p.m. Sunday's finale is set for 1 p.m.

In The Rankings
Oklahoma State is No. 6 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll and No. 6 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. Softball America has the Cowgirls at No. 6 and D1Softball has the Pokes at No. 7. In the NCAA Softball Rating Percentage Index (RPI), OSU slots in at No. 12. Wichita State (No. 44 in RPI) and Texas Tech (No. 33 in RPI) are both unranked.

Oklahoma State from a Distance
At 35-8 on the year, Oklahoma State has seven wins over ranked opponents and owns a 13-5 record in Big 12 play, good for third in the conference. Interestingly, this year's Cowgirls are performing at a similar level to OSU's recent Women's College World Series teams despite relying heavily on freshmen and sophomores. Pitchers Lexi Kilfoyl and Ivy Rosenberry both have been stellar, ranking in the top three in the Big 12 in ERA. Offensively, OSU is on pace to hit over 85 home runs and 80 doubles, both of which would rank in the top five in program history. Freshman infielder Karli Godwin and senior Caroline Wang have combined for 25 home runs and 19 doubles, and both have more than 30 RBIs on the year. Freshman Rosie Davis has been another standout performer for OSU, leading the team in walks and maintaining an OPS over 1.000. The Cowgirls opened Big 12 play with a gritty series victory over then-No. 19/14 Baylor in Waco. OSU trailed late in all three contests but outscored the Bears by a combined margin of 7-2 in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings. The Pokes secured their first Big 12 sweep of the season over UCF from March 15-17 in Stillwater, outscoring the Knights in the series, 18-8. The Cowgirls were tested in Provo after dropping game two of the three-game series, however they prevailed with the series victory following a 10-2 run-rule victory in the series finale. OSU faced its biggest test up to this point with a three-game series against then-No. 2/2 Texas in Stillwater and stifled the No. 2 offense in the nation twice to earn the series victory off the back of two Kilfoyl complete-game shutouts. The Cowgirls picked up their second sweep of the season in Houston, outscoring the Cougars by a combined score of 24-3.

• The Cowgirls have won 29 of their last 35, including victories over No. 4 Washington, No. 16 Florida, No. 19 Baylor (twice) and No. 2 Texas (twice). In that stretch, OSU has outscored its opponents by a combined margin of 182-64.
• Oklahoma State has scored first in 34 of its 43 contests this season.
• OSU has been ranked in the NFCA poll in each of its last 314 games, dating back to the start of the 2019 season.

Oklahoma State leads the series against Wichita State, 88-16. OSU has found success when playing in Wichita, leading the series 30-6. The Cowgirls and Red Raiders have met 77 times, with OSU leading the series 52-25. In Stillwater, the Pokes hold the advantage, 24-7.
