Cowgirl Soccer Opens Spring With Victory

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State posted a 4-0 win over Central Oklahoma in its spring exhibition season opener Saturday at Neal Patterson Stadium.

The Cowgirls took the reins early, scoring three times in the first half.

Xcaret Pineda opened up the scoring, and soon after, Laudan Wilson and Mollie Breiner teamed up on a corner kick as Breiner headed the ball past the goalie to give OSU a 2-0 lead less than 15 minutes into the match.

Adelhia Ghonda closed out the first-half scoring for the Cowgirls, netting a goal off an assist from Pineda.

The second half was slow moving back and forth as the final goal didn't come until the last five minutes of play when Sami Allen found the back of the net.

Caroline Dill and Logan Marks combined for the shutout in goal as Dill kept the Bronchos out of the net in the opening half before Marks posted several saves in the second half to secure the clean sheet.

The Cowgirls return to action with a road match at North Texas on March 30 in Denton, Texas.
