Cowgirl Soccer Dominant In First Road Test Of Spring

DENTON, Texas - Xcaret Pineda recorded a hat trick to lead Oklahoma State to a 5-0 win over North Texas in a spring exhibition match Saturday.
Pineda tallied the Cowgirls' final three goals, while Adelhia Ghonda and Logan Heausler also found the back of the net for OSU.
Three goalies combined for the shutout as Grace Gordon kept UNT off the board in the opening half before Caroline Dill and Logan Marks completed the clean sheet with their play in the second half.
With the win, OSU improved to 2-0 on the spring.
Ghonda got the scoring started less than seven minutes into the contest off an assist from Heausler, and just two minutes later, it was Heausler sending it in off a pass from Chloe Wright.
Pineda would close out OSU's first-half scoring when she connected on a free kick from 21-yards out to make the score 3-0.
The Cowgirls got an early goal out of intermission when a Pineda corner kick found the back of the net, and she completed the hat trick off an assist from Ghonda with 30 minutes remaining.
Up next, OSU will face Tulsa on Monday, April 8, with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
