Cowgirl Softball Holds Firm in National Polls

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball remained in the top 10 in both national polls after its opening week at home. The Cowgirls are ranked No. 7 by ESPN.com/USA Softball and No. 4 by the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll.

The Cowgirls went 4-0 last week at Cowgirl Stadium, including wins over South Dakota State, Seattle and Drake. On the week, the Pokes outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 38-4.
OSU wraps up its five-game homestand with a midweek contest against NR/RV Wichita State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6. The Cowgirls open Big 12 play this weekend with a trip to Waco, Texas for a series against No. 19/14 Baylor. The three-game series starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday with additional games at 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
