Bushnell Grabs Outright Lead at PING/ASU Invitational

PHOENIX – After a bogey-free Friday, Oklahoma State's Ellie Bushnell will take a two-shot lead into Saturday's final round at the PING/ASU Invitational.
The Cowgirls were the day's biggest movers, leaping from 11th to fifth in the team standings following a 6-under 282 performance. They're 4-under par through 18 holes and now trail co-leaders UCLA and Northwestern by just three strokes.
Bushell (68-69-137), who began the day in a four-way tie for the top spot on the individual leaderboard, finished in the red for a second straight round to get to 7-under par. The freshman's best finish to date was 17th place showing at last fall's Schooner Classic.
Marta Silchenko and Thitaporn Saithip also finished under par in Friday's second round at 2-under 70. Silchenko is tied for 17th individually.
