Cowgirl Golf Enters Norman For Bedlam Cup

NORMAN, Okla. – Three straight NCAA Championship appearances, two Big 12 Championships and one NCAA Championship runner-up finish later – Oklahoma State women's golf is set to face Oklahoma in match play on Friday.

The Bedlam Cup is back.

For the first time in seven years, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma women's golf will battle at the sixth edition of the Bedlam Cup on Friday at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club. With both sides clashing in their first match-play event of the season, play opens at 8 a.m. The event is free to the public.

"It'll be fun, especially against a rival like Oklahoma," head coach Greg Robertson said. "They've got a good team and you certainly don't want to lose to the team in Norman. It's going to be an exciting event."

Time, Location and Admission
The Bedlam Cup will be hosted at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club on Friday, March 22. Play will begin at 8 a.m. CT with three four-ball (best ball) matches, followed by six singles matches slated to begin at 1:30 p.m.

Admission to the Bedlam Cup is free to the public with no tickets necessary.

Event Format
Following a format similar to the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup, play kicks off with three four-ball (best ball) matches in the morning, followed by six singles matches in the afternoon. Each four-ball (best ball) and singles match will award a team point in the format, leaving nine team points up for grabs during the competition.
