Cowgirl Softball Holds Steady in National Polls

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball remains firmly in the top 10 in both national polls after two weeks of Big 12 Conference play. The Cowgirls are ranked No. 4 by the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and No. 6 by ESPN.com/USA Softball. OSU also slots in at No. 8 in the NCAA RPI rankings based on its wins, losses, and strength of schedule.

The Cowgirls swept Big 12 newcomer UCF in their conference play home opener, outscoring the Knights in the series, 18-8. OSU is now 5-1 in the Big 12 and tied for second in the standings.
The Pokes hit the road for a midweek meeting against Tulsa at 5 p.m. today at the Collins Family Softball Complex before heading to Provo, Utah, to face another conference newcomer, BYU.
