Cowgirl Softball Remains in the Top 8 in National Polls

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball holds strong in the top 10 in both national polls after the opening round of Big 12 Conference play. The Cowgirls are ranked No. 7 by ESPN.com/USA Softball and No. 4 by the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll. OSU also slots in at No. 7 in the NCAA RPI rankings based on its wins, losses, and strength of schedule.

The Cowgirls opened conference play with a 2-1 series victory in Waco against then-ranked No. 19/14 Baylor, the seventh-consecutive Big 12 opening series victory under coach Kenny Gajewski.
OSU will host Central Arkansas at 6:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday at Cowgirl Stadium for a mid-week matchup. The Cowgirls continue Big 12 play this weekend in Stillwater against new conference foe UCF. Game one of the series will be played at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by game two at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, and game three at noon on Sunday.
