Five Cowgirls, Two Doubles Pairings Appear in Latest ITA Rankings

STILLWATER – Five members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team, along with two Cowgirl doubles pairings, made appearances in Wednesday's ITA rankings.
In the first individual rankings since November, two Cowgirls appeared in the top 20 with Ange Oby Kajuru at No. 5 and Anastasiya Komar at No. 17. Kajuru has gone 3-2 on the young season from the No. 2 spot while Komar is 2-1 from the No. 1 position.
Ayumi Miyamoto moved up to No. 46 in the singles rankings, an improvement from her previous ranking at No. 60. Miyamoto is 2-1 on the season from the No. 5 position, including a ranked win.
Lucia Peyre's impressive start to the season has her at No. 54, going 5-0 at the No. 3 spot for OSU to open the season. Safiya Carrington is the final Cowgirl to appear in the singles rankings, coming in at No. 122.
In the doubles rankings, the pairing of Kajuru and Komar came in at No. 13 after their 2-2 start to the season from the No. 1 position. The duo of Komar and Raquel Gonzalez appeared at No. 14 but have not played together yet this season.
Oklahoma State is off to a 5-0 start to its 2024 campaign, matching its best start to a season since 2020. The Cowgirls have also collected four top-15 wins in their first five matches, and they'll have an opportunity to add to that number at the ITA Indoor National Championships this weekend in Seattle, Washington.
