Spring Season, Same Goals
After closing the fall with a 15-under 273 – its lowest round vs. par since OSU earned its 100th tournament title at the 2021 Sam Golden Invitational – the Cowgirls will be looking to build upon its success in the spring.
Maddison Hinson-Tolchard enters the tee box after two top-10 finishes in the fall, while Clemence Martin returns after carding her best finish of the fall – an 8-under 208 – at the Jim West Challenge.
Senior Angelica Pfefferkorn is fresh off a career-low 6-under 66 round to close the fall season, while freshman Marta Silchenko continued to grow in the fall, placing three 60s rounds and winning a fall team qualifier.
Starter Ellie Bushnell and individual Sammie Miller both competed at the Cactus Collegiate Challenge in December. Bushnell finished top 10 at the event and earned low amateur honors and a second-place finish at the California State Open over the break, while Miller carded five birdies in round-two action.
Pokes In Puerto Rico
Oklahoma State carries a strong résumé in The Island of Enchantment.
With the Cowgirls previously competing at the Puerto Rico Classic, previously known as the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, seven times in program history, the team has placed a top-10 individual in 5-of-7 appearances. Isabella Fierro led OSU last time out in Rio Grande, finishing in seventh individually in February 2020.
Two weeks later, former Cowboy Viktor Hovland took home his first PGA Tour win, birdieing the final hole at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open to hold Josh Teater off by a stroke.
The Cowgirls have stood on the podium three times in Puerto Rico, highlighted by a second-place finish at the event in 2006-07 at Cocoa Beach Golf Course.
LPGA mainstays Pernilla Lindberg and Caroline Hedwall won individual championships in Rio Grande, with Lindberg leading the field in 2006-07 and Hedwall doing so during her historic 2009-10 campaign at Trump International Golf Club. Hedwall's victory marked the first of a spring season, which saw her finish no lower than fourth across eight tournaments and cement her legacy as the 2010 individual National Champion and NGCA National Player of the Year.
Monitoring Maddy: A Spring To Remember
With 100 career rounds under her belt and three weeks removed from being invited to the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur, Maddison Hinson-Tolchard is reaching for the record books in her senior season.

• One of four Cowgirl golfers to win two Big 12 Player of the Year awards.
