Cowgirls Sit Atop ITA Rankings Entering Conference Play

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team was ranked first in Tuesday's ITA team rankings, marking its third consecutive week as the nation's best.
The Cowgirls improved to 11-0 and capped an undefeated non-conference schedule when they beat No. 30 Princeton in Stillwater last Saturday. The historic start to the season is the program's best since 1981.
As it enters conference play, going by the latest rankings, OSU boasts wins over No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 Michigan (twice), No. 6 Texas, No. 7 Pepperdine, No. 9 Ohio State and No. 12 Auburn.
Along with the Cowgirls, eight other Big 12 teams appeared in this week's top-75: No. 6 Texas, No. 15 Oklahoma, No. 26 Texas Tech, No. 30 Baylor, No. 45 BYU, No. 58 Kansas State, No. 59 UCF and No. 61 West Virginia.
Oklahoma State will host Kansas and Iowa State this weekend to open its Big 12 schedule, taking on the Jayhawks at 6 p.m. on Friday and the Cyclones at 12 p.m. on Sunday in Stillwater. Information about live scoring and live streaming can be found on okstate.com as it becomes available.
