DALLAS – Oklahoma State completed its road trip with a 14-4 loss to 18^th-ranked Dallas Baptist in seven innings Tuesday night at Horner Ballpark.

With the loss, the Cowboys fell to 4-4, while DBU improved to 8-0.

Offensively, Ian Daugherty led the way for the Pokes as he went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs.

Ryan Bogusz took the loss on the mound as the right-hander allowed eight runs, seven of them earned, on six hits. He struck out four and walked one.

DBU jumped out to an early lead in its first at bat. Following a leadoff walk, Miguel Santos delivered his fifth home run of the season over the wall in right-center field to put the home team up 2-0.

The Patriots added a run in the second when they scored on a wild pitch on a strikeout and went up 4-0 in the third when a dropped fly ball led to an RBI double from the following batter.

OSU rallied in the fourth to trim its deficit to one. Ian Daugherty got the scoring started with the first of three consecutive RBI singles as Kollin Ritchie and Lane Forsythe followed with run scoring knocks to make the score 4-3.

But DBU answered in the bottom of the inning to regain control of the scoreboard as the Patriots erupted for eight runs on seven hits and took advantage of four OSU errors to take a 12-3 advantage.

The Cowboys return to action with their 2024 home opener Friday against Central Michigan at O'Brate Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
