About Oklahoma State

     • The Cowboys are 4-4 after competing the first two weeks of the season in the state of Texas. OSU opens an eight-game homestand Friday afternoon at O'Brate Stadium against Central Michigan.
     • OSU is coming off a 41-20 season in 2023 in which the Cowboys earned their 10th consecutive NCAA Regional bid. It marked the second-straight 40-win season for the Pokes and the sixth under head coach Josh Holliday.
     • The Cowboys shared the Big 12 regular season championship with Texas and West Virginia after finishing 15-9 in conference play.
     • OSU returns six position starters, four of those All-Big 12 performers, from a year ago.
     • The 2024 season is OSU's 12th under head coach Josh Holliday, who is 407-223-2 at his alma mater. The Cowboys have earned an NCAA Regional berth each year under his watch.

About Central Michigan

     • Central Michigan is 3-6 on the season and is coming off being swept in a three-game series at Dallas Baptist last weekend.
     • Jake Sabol is in his first season as CMU's head coach.
     • OSU has only faced Central Michigan once on the diamond, that coming in 1983 in Edinburg, Texas, with the Chippewas winning by a 7-1 margin.
     • The Chippewas' starting pitching rotation vs. the Cowboys is expected to be:

     Friday: LHP Adam Mrakitsch — 1-1, 4.50 ERA in two starts; 18 K, 6 BB in 10.0 IP
     Saturday: RHP Keegan Batka — 0-1, 6.75 ERA in three appearances (2 starts); 11 K, 6 BB in 12.0 IP

With 10 consecutive NCAA Regional appearances, OSU owns the nation's fourth-longest current streak behind only Vanderbilt (17), Florida (15) and LSU (11).

New Faces

A total of 23 newcomers joined the OSU program for the 2024 season. The Cowboys brought in 15 players from the high school ranks, while adding six Division I transfers and a pair of JUCO products.
