December 05, 2024 | Cowgirl Equestrian
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State equestrian's Riley Hogan has been named the November Big 12 Fences Rider of the Month, while June Roberson earned Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Month and Emma Filiatreau won Big 12 Reining Rider of the Month.
This is the eighth time in program history the Cowgirls have collected at least three of the four awards.
For Hogan, this is the third time she has won the Fences title in her career and the second-straight month she has collected the award. She is the first Cowgirl to win back-to-back monthly awards since Sydnie Ziegler in 2022.
This is the second career conference monthly honor for Roberson. The Horsemanship captain won her first career award in March 2024.
In her sophomore season, Filiatreau receives her second career monthly award; her first came in November 2023. This is the second-straight month the Cowgirls have earned the Reining award.
In November, Hogan went 3-1 in Fences and reached 38 career wins, the most wins in Cowgirl history for the event. She averaged a score of 81 in the month and scored a high of 88.5 against SMU. Hogan is currently 7-1 this season in Fences.
Roberson finished the month with a perfect 4-0 record, earning one MOP. She is currently on a five-ride win streak, the longest of her career, and she leads OSU's Horsemanship squad with a 7-0-1 record this season. She averaged a score of 75.56 with a 4.31 win margin in November. Roberson now has 22 career wins, continuing to be one of the Cowgirls most reliable scorers.
Filiatreau, a sophomore, also finished the month of November with a perfect record as she went 4-0 in Reining and captured back-to-back MOPs against SMU and Fresno State. She scored a career-high 74.5 in her MOP performance against Fresno State. Her current four-ride win streak is the second longest of her career, averaging a score of 73.5 in the month. Filiatreau has a record of 6-2 this season.
Roberson and Filiatreau's honors mark the second-straight month where the Cowgirls have swept the Western Big 12 monthly awards.
