Cowboys Fall to Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma State fell 80-65 to No. 13/17 Oklahoma on Saturday evening at the Paycom Center in the 250th men's basketball edition of the Bedlam series.
The Sooners continued their unbeaten start, improving to 10-0, while OSU fell to 6-3.
OSU missed 13 of its first 16 shots to fall into a 30-13 hole and never recovered. The Cowboys shot 25.9% and the first half and 39.3% for the game.
Reserves accounted for 42 points -- nearly two-thirds of the Cowboy total – led by Marchelus "Chi Chi" Avery (19) and Arturo Dean (11).
Sam Godwin finished with a career-high 20 points and 14 rebounds for OU, which connected on 30-of-61 shots (49%), including 16-of-31 while building a 43-26 halftime advantage.
OSU is home for the first time in 34 days on Wednesday night against Tarleton State (7 p.m. CT) before wrapping up the non-conference slate next Sunday afternoon versus Oral Roberts (2 p.m. CT). Both games will air on ESPN+.
