November 19, 2024 | Cowboy Golf
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's men's golf team has signed Jaxon Bandelier to a National Letter of Intent it was announced today by Cowboy head coach Alan Bratton.
"We have a long history of success with players from Texas. Jaxon is one of the best from Texas and he keeps getting better every year," Bratton said. "He comes from a family of OSU grads, so he has had orange in his blood since birth. I like his work ethic and his competitiveness. When you combine those traits with his skillset you have an impact player for our program."
A native of Austin, Texas, Bandelier advanced to match play this past summer at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and made his way to the round of 32. He claimed medalist honors at his Junior Amateur qualifier after firing a 67.
Additionally, the 2024 season saw Bandelier produce three runner-up showings as well as medalist honors at the Texas 25-6A UIL District Championship while competing for Vandegrift High School. He was named a first-team all-district, all-region and all-state selection.
In 2023, he captured victories at the Legends Junior Tour James A. Ragan Memorial as well as the Greenwood Cup and the Hill Country Shootout. The 2022 season saw him post victories at the STPGA Prestige Spring Break Classic and the AJGA Preview at Bentwater.
In both of those seasons he was named an all-district and all-region pick.
