May 11, 2026 | Cowboy Golf
IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team was prominently featured among the Big 12 Men's Golf postseason award winners with Monday's announcement of the honors by the league office.
Leading the way for the Cowboys was the league's player of the year in Preston Stout as well as its coach of the year in Alan Bratton.
Stout was joined by Ethan Fang as a first-team All-Big 12 selection, while Gaven Lane and Eric Lee were named second-team picks.
A junior from Richardson, Texas, Stout is the 13th Cowboy to be named the Big 12's top player and the first since Viktor Hovland in 2019.
He is currently ranked second nationally, having won four of his last six starts. Stout's most recent victory came at the Big 12 Championship where he became the first player in league history to capture three consecutive conference titles. Additionally, he is the first Cowboy to win three in a row since Lindy Miller captured Big Eight titles in 1976, 1977 and 1978.
In addition to his Big 12 title, Stout has victories at the Mountaineer Invitational, Maridoe Collegiate and Cabo Collegiate. His four wins are tied for the most in a season by a Cowboy junior and his seven career wins are tied for the fourth-best total in program history.
Bratton was tabbed as the league's top coach for the second consecutive year and the third time overall. He most recently led the defending NCAA champions to their conference-record 13th Big 12 title. Overall, OSU has captured four team titles on the year.
A native of Plano, Texas, Fang opened his junior campaign with a win at The Carmel Cup before notching his second victory at the Maridoe Collegiate where he shared medalist honors with Stout. Fang has finished in the top 10 on four other occasions as well.
Lane's best finish came at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational where he was runner-up. The junior from Argyle, Texas added a fourth-place showing at The Clerico and was seventh at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational.
Lee opened his junior campaign with top 10s at The Carmel Cup and the Fighting Illini Invitational. The Fullerton, Calif., native's best showing came at the Maridoe Collegiate where he finished fourth.
