Cowboy duo named to Haskins Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Oklahoma State's Eric Lee and Preston Stout were both named to the preseason watch list for the 2026-27 Fred Haskins Award it was announced today by the Haskins Foundation.
Beginning in 1971, the Fred Haskins Award is annually given to the top male Division I golfer as voted on by players, coaches, members of the college golf media and past Haskins Award winners.
As a junior, Lee received honorable mention All-America status and was named a second-team All-Big 12 pick. He was also named an Academic All-Big 12 pick and GCAA All-America Scholar.
The Fullerton, Calif., native opened the year with a pair of top 10s at the Carmel Cup and Fighting Illini Invitational. He would tie for fourth place at the Maridoe Collegiate before breaking through with his victory at the NCAA Marana Regional.
Currently the top-ranked amateur in the world, Stout is coming off a junior campaign that saw him win five times and earn first-team All-America status. The Big 12 Player of the Year was also named a GCAA All-America Scholar and Academic All-Big 12 pick.
Among Stout's five victories was his third consecutive Big 12 title, making him the first player in league history to win the event on three occasions. He capped his season by becoming the 10th Cowboy to win the NCAA individual title.
The Richardson, Texas native was tabbed as a finalist for the Jack Nicklaus Award, Ben Hogan Award and the Fred Haskins Award last year as well.
