Grace Kilcrease put on Final Fall ANNIKA Award Watch List
November 12, 2024 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Grace Kilcrease is in the running for national women's golfer of the year with her inclusion on ANNIKA Award Watch List, released Tuesday morning.
Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female Division 1 collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer. Ingrid Lindblad from LSU became the 11th ANNIKA Award winner in 2024.
Kilcrease made the list due to a dominant Fall campaign. The 12th-ranked golfer in the nation won the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach and broke the school record for low round with a 63 at the Schooner Fall Classic. In addition, the junior transfer from Tulsa has placed top 10 in all five tournaments this season, the first Cowgirl to secure five straight top 10's since Isabella Fierro in the 2020-21 season.
Kilcrease would become the first winner of the award to represent Oklahoma State and the Big 12. Along with Arizona State's Patience Rhodes, Kilcrease is one of two golfers from the conference to make the watch list.
The award will be given out after the NCAA Championships conclude in May.
Kilcrease will start her Spring campaign and quest for the award on Feb. 3-4 at the FAU Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida, along with the rest of the Cowgirl golf team.
