Komar Reaches Singles Final, Clinches NCAA Individual Championship Bid

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Anastasiya Komar of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team moved one win closer to a singles title at the ITA Central Regional Championships in Memphis, Tennessee, on Sunday.
She defeated an opponent from Oklahoma for the second day in a row, taking down No. 56 Alina Shcherbinina in comeback fashion, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. The win also clinched her spot in the NCAA Individual Championships, set to take place on Nov. 18-23 in Waco, Texas.
Komar will meet Wichita State's Xin Tong Wang in Sunday's final as she looks to become the second Cowgirl in row to win the central regional singles title, joining Ange Oby Kajuru.
