Cowboy Indoor Track & Field Remains in Top 15 of USTFCCCA National Ratings Index

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's and women's indoor track & field each appeared in the top 12 of the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Ratings Index, the organization announced Monday.
After earning their highest week one ranking in program history, the Cowgirls moved up three spots to No. 10 this week, which ties their highest overall ranking in team history, joining the 2022 squad. The Cowboys are ranked at No. 12 this week after several impressive performances at the Razorback Invitational this past weekend.
For the Cowgirls, Winny Bii and Billah Jepkirui lead the charge ranked No. 4 in the Triple Jump and 3,000 Meters, respectively. Bii's jump of 13.49 meters at the Arkansas Invitational broke the Kenyan national record in the event as well as the school record. Jepkirui's school-record time of 8:49.08 from the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in December also ranks her tenth in NCAA history.
Behind them, Olivija Vaitaityte (No. 5, Pentathlon), Taylor Roe (No. 7, 3,000 Meters), Gabija Galvydyte (No. 7, 800 Meters) and Molly Born (No. 8, 5,000 Meters) are all ranked inside the top 10 of their respective events. Rounding out the rankings for the Cowgirls are Galvydyte (No. 14, Mile), Maddie Meiner (No. 26, Pentathlon) and Jepkirui (No. 27, 800 Meters)
On the men's side, Brian Musau and Ryan Schoppe lead the charge as they currently sit second and third in the NCAA in the 3,000 Meters. Alex Maier and Denis Kipngetich make up a majority of the rest of OSU's points in the index as they are currently ranked No. 9 and No. 12 in the 5,000 Meters, respectively. Rounding out the rankings for the Cowboys are Philip Frank (No. 13, Heptathlon), Musau (No. 15, Mile), Mehdi Yanouri (No. 18, 800 Meters), Laban Kipkemboi (No. 18, Mile) and Koryee Wyatt (No. 36, 60 Meters).
OSU returns to action this weekend for the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Kansas State Feb. 1-3 at the K-State Indoor Track in Manhattan, Kan.
