Hinson-Tolchard Etches Into Record Book As Cowgirls Conclude Round Two At Schooner Fall Classic

NORMAN – Maddison Hinson-Tolchard tied the program record for lowest 18-hole score on Sunday, pushing the Cowgirls to being tied for seventh place following round two of the Schooner Fall Classic.
The Cowgirls finished in fourth as a team on Sunday, charging a combined 288-275 recording over the weekend. Wake Forest (-20), Virginia Tech (-6) Florida State (E), and Houston (E) reside on the team podium.
Hinson-Tolchard made her sixth-and-final birdie on hole No. 9 to move into first individually with a 6-under 64 on the day. Her play on Sunday tied the program record for lowest 18-hole score, marking the Cowgirls' third-ever score of such caliber.
She joined Jayde Panos (2011-12) and Amy Ruengmatakhun (2011-12) in the record book.
Clemence Martin shot a 2-under 68 on Sunday to move into a tie for 20th. Martin matched Hinson-Tolchard with six birdies on the day.
Freshman Ellie Bushnell also posted a 2-under 68, tying for the second-lowest score by a Cowgirl freshman in the Schooner Fall Classic since its inaugural 2013-14 tournament. She enters the final 18 tied for 23rd.
Thitaporn Saithip and Angelica Pfefferkorn ended the day at 5-over 75. Pfefferkorn caught fire early for OSU, opening the day with three consecutive birdies.
Individually, freshman Marta Silchenko added her first 60s round with a 1-under 69, while Sammie Miller shot a 78.
The Cowgirls round out the Schooner Fall Classic tomorrow.
