Cowgirl Golf Wraps Up Round One Action In Norman

NORMAN – Oklahoma State women's golf opened play at the Schooner Fall Classic on Saturday, closing round one action in 10th place at Belmar Golf Club.
Logging a combined score of 288, the Cowgirls concluded play 8-over. Wake Forest (-10), Houston (-6) and Tulsa (E) stand on the podium through 18 holes.
The Schooner Fall Classic sports a five-player starting lineup, counting the teams' top four scores on the par-70 course.
The Cowgirls played a lineup of five starters, with freshman Marta Silchenko and Sammie Miller playing as individuals.
Maddison Hinson-Tolchard closed play 2-under 68 to place tied for eighth. The senior co-lead through the early portions of the day – putting in birdies on hole Nos. 3,8 and 10.
Clemence Martin finished tied for 34th on Saturday, carding in a round of 2-over 72.
Ellie Bushnell closed round one strong, posting a two-stroke birdie on hole No. 17. The freshman ended the day with a +3, good for a tied for 45th placement in the field.
Thitaporn Saithip carded a 75 on the day, while Angelica Pfefferkorn posted a 78.
Making her Cowgirl debut as an individual, Sammie Miller rounded out play in 71st place with a 6-over 76. Marta Silchenko also played individually; finishing Saturday tied for 65th at 5-over 75.
The Cowgirls return to the links for second round action tomorrow morning.
