August 31, 2023 | Cowgirl Golf
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's golf is set to tee off its 2023-24 season on Friday at the Carmel Cup in Pebble Beach, Calif. Played at the highly-touted Pebble Beach Golf Links, this par-72, 6,156-yard layout offers players some of the most beautiful pacific coastline sights in the sport.
The Cowgirls return to the links after a stellar 2022-23 campaign which saw the program capture its 11th conference title, its second in three years, in addition to posting a tied for 11th-place finish at the NCAA Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Last season, OSU finished third at the Carmel Cup, recording a trio of top-10 individual scores including efforts from Maddison Hinson-Tolchard (T6) and Thitaporn Saithip (10.)

Back-to-back Big 12 Player of the Year Hinson-Tolchard is no stranger to Pebble Beach Golf Links, most recently competing on the course last month in her major championship debut at the U.S. Women's Open.
Martin makes her debut at Pebble Beach after missing time due to injury during Carmel Cup team qualifiers last season.
Saithip made her Cowgirl debut at this event last year, picking up 10 birdies en route to a top-10 finish. She became the first Cowgirl freshman to record a top-10 finish in the team's season-opening tournament since 2019.
Pfefferkorn also makes her Cowgirl debut at Pebble Beach Golf Links, joining Hinson-Tolchard as seniors taking to the course.
Cowgirl Debuts
Freshmen Marta Silchenko and Ellie Bushnell are slated to make their OSU debut in the program's season-opening tournament.
Silchenko makes her first career start four weeks removed from being crowned champion at the Latvian Junior Open with rounds of 69-66-69 (-12) 204.
Bushnell tees off her career in her home state of California. Prior to OSU, Bushnell was a premier golfer in the NorCal region, earning titles at both the 2021 and 2022 CWAC Junior Girls State Championship.
