Cowgirl Basketball Adds Veteran Presence To Frontcourt

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has added depth to its frontcourt with the addition of Brianna Jackson it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jacie Hoyt.
"Bri is a player we are very excited to have join our Cowgirl family. She adds some much needed depth in the post position and her experience will be invaluable," Hoyt said.
"Her skill set is very good both around the rim and out to the 15-foot range. Offensively and defensively she will be a great presence for us."
A 6-3 forward, Jackson comes to Stillwater after spending the previous two seasons at Old Dominion.
This past year, she helped ODU to a 22-12 mark, seeing action in all 34 games and making 15 starts on the season. Jackson shot 46.8 percent from the floor while averaging 6.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest.
As a junior, Jackson played in 34 games and made 21 starts, scoring 7.3 points and grabbing 5.2 rebounds per contest. She finished the campaign ranked fifth among league players with her 1.44 blocks per game.
The Virginia Beach, Va., native competed at Miami as a freshman and sophomore. She saw action in 40 games and made 20 starts over her two seasons with the Hurricanes. As a freshman, she was sixth in the ACC in blocks at 1.3 per game.
As a prep standout, Jackson was rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz. She was tabbed as the VHSL 5A State Player of the Year and helped Princess Anne capture four Class 5A state titles.
