OSU Cross Country Set to Host Cowboy Preview in Season Opener

THE BASICS
Oklahoma State cross country returns to the course for the first time in 2023, hosting the Cowboy Preview at the state-of-the-art Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course.

Oklahoma State men and women will be joined on the course by Arkansas (M/W), Oklahoma (M/W), SMU (W), Tulsa (M/W) and UCO (W).

RUN IT BACK
The Cowboys enter the 2023 season ranked No. 2 in the USTFCCCA Preseason National Coaches Poll, tied for the highest ranking since 2013, when the Cowboys entered the season as No. 1. All three of Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Dave Smith's NCAA title teams (2009, 2010 and 2012) have come when the Cowboys were ranked No. 2 overall in the preseason poll.
The Cowgirls enter the 2023 season ranked No. 3, their highest preseason ranking in program history after earning their first team trophy at the NCAA Championships in 2022. The two-time defending Big 12 Champions return three-time cross country All-American Taylor Roe and six runners from the 2022 NCAA squad. Cross country All-American Molly Born also returns to the fold after missing last season. Born finished 16th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2019.

The men's 5K kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the women's 3K immediately following at 8:45 a.m.
