STILLWATER – Four members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team have earned 2023 Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors.
Ayumi Miyamoto, Sofia Rojas, Alana Wolfberg and Martina Zerulo represented the Cowgirls, bringing the total to 95 Academic All-Big 12 selections in program history, with 52 occurring under head coach Chris Young.
Miyamoto, a senior, earned her third first-team selection, while super-senior Zerulo and senior Wolfberg each made their second appearances. Rojas, a sophomore, earned the honor for the first time.
Wolfberg was nominated with a 4.00 GPA in 2023, the only Cowgirl to do so. She was also one of just three women's tennis athletes across the Big 12 to earn a 4.00 GPA in 2023.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the previous two semesters and have participated in 20 percent of their team's schedules contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
