May 31, 2023 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball's Rachel Becker and Kelly Maxwell were named second team All-Americans by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, while Lexi Kilfoyl and Kiley Naomi earned third team All-America honors.
The quartet of Cowgirls is tied-second in program history for most All-America selections in a single season and elevates Oklahoma State's All-American total to 51.
This year's All-America recognition is the second of Becker's career; the Cowgirls' second basemen and leadoff hitter was named to the NFCA All-America third team in 2022.
Batting .449 ahead of the NCAA Women's College World Series, Becker is tied for the program single-season record for doubles (22) and she owns the school record for consecutive games on-base after reaching base safely 49 games in a row from February 10 to April 29.
Becker has set multiple career-highs in the final season of her collegiate career: runs (61), hits (79), RBI (28), walks (45), stolen bases (11) and total bases (114).
Maxwell is the eighth two-time All-American in program history following her selection to the NFCA first team in 2022.
The redshirt senior boasts a team-leading 1.77 ERA and a 16-5 record in 138.1 innings pitched entering the 2023 NCAA Women's College World Series.
This season, the ace of the Oklahoma State pitching staff became just the sixth Cowgirl pitcher to notch 200+ strikeouts in multiple seasons at OSU.
A first team All-Big 12 and first team All-Region selection, Maxwell ended the regular season as the Big 12 Conference leader in strikeouts, strikeouts per seven innings and hits per seven innings.
In one of the best statistical seasons of her collegiate career, Kiley Naomi finally claimed the first All-America honors of her five-year career as a NFCA All-America third team honoree in 2023.
The active NCAA DI leader in games played, Naomi has bashed a team-leading 13 home runs this year, becoming just one of five Oklahoma State hitters to record double-digit home runs in multiple seasons at Oklahoma State.
An NFCA All-Region second team honoree, Naomi has further solidified her presence in the Oklahoma State record books in her final year in America's Brightest Orange: she owns program career records for runs scored, assists and double plays turned.
Heading into the NCAA WCWS, Naomi leads the Big 12 Conference in RBI (64) and ranks in the top-five for runs scored (56), hits (68), doubles (17) and at-bats (183).
Kilfoyl earned the first All-America honors of her career in her first season as a Cowgirl, a year where she combined with Maxwell for a lethal one-two punch from the circle.
The 6-2 right-hander has tallied a 1.82 ERA over 131.0 innings of work. With 125 punchouts on the season, she's now eclipsed a triple-digit strikeout total for the second season of her career.
Kilfoyl tossed Oklahoma State's lone no-hitter of the season against Maine on March 3. Along with the NFCA third team All-America recognition, Kilfoyl was also named to the All-Big 12 second team in her first year in the league.
Becker, Maxwell, Naomi, Kilfoyl and No. 6 national seed Oklahoma State are set to kick off the 2023 NCAA Women's College World Series against No. 3-seeded Florida State on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.
