Cowgirls Add In-State Veteran To Backcourt

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has added another veteran guard to its backcourt with Rylee Langerman joining the program it was announced today by head coach Jacie Hoyt.
"Rylee is the type of player and person who coaches dream of coaching. Her work ethic is off the charts and she's a great teammate. She's going to bring a tenacity on defense that our fans will love," Hoyt said.
"With all that being said, I believe her best basketball is still ahead of her. She has been an incredible ambassador for many things in her career in the SEC and I'm proud to say that she will be someone who represents everything we want to stand for at Oklahoma State and more. She's one of Oklahoma's finest and we can't wait to have her back home!"
During her three seasons at Arkansas, Langerman played in 82 games while making seven starts. She averaged 2.5 points and 3.2 rebounds per game for the Razorbacks, while also registering 64 steals and 58 assists during her time in Fayetteville.
This past season, the Norman, Okla., native saw action in all 37 of the team's contests, leading the bench in minutes per game at 17.3. Langerman finished fourth on the team with her 35 steals and logged season bests with 10 points against Tulsa and 10 rebounds against Stephen F. Austin in the second round of the WNIT.
As a sophomore, Langerman was one of just two players on the squad to play in all 32 games. The 5-9 guard averaged 3.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 19.2 minutes per contest. She scored a career-high 17 points against Missouri and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds at Texas A&M.
As a prep standout at Christian Heritage, Langerman was named The Oklahoman's Little All-City Player of the Year as a senior. She averaged 21.5 points and 10.9 boards per contest while leading her squad to the state title game as well.
