Cowgirl Equestrian Remains Fifth in NCEA Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State remained at No. 5 in Tuesday's NCEA rankings, marking its second consecutive week in that position.
The Cowgirls split their two-meet trip to California on Friday and Saturday. First, they beat No. 10 UC Davis 13-7 on Friday in Davis, extending their season-best win streak to four. The following day, OSU fell to Big 12 foe and No. 9 Fresno State 10-9 in Fresno.
Jojo Roberson claimed her fourth Horsemanship MOP of the season against UC Davis. The senior now has 12 Horsemanship MOPs in her career, tied for eighth most in NCEA history and two behind Harley Huff for most in Oklahoma State program history. Grace McReynolds claimed the first MOP of her career in Fences while Molly Mitchell earned her third Reining MOP of the season and second in the last three meets in the win.
Against Fresno State, Sydney North continued her dominance, winning her third MOP in five spring meets. Freshman June Roberson claimed her first-career MOP and set a new career-high in her 77-75.5 Horsemanship win.
Oklahoma State is now 6-4 on the season and finished Big 12 play at 4-2, tying them atop the standings with TCU heading into the conference tournament.
OSU's final regular-season opponent, the University of Lynchburg, is ranked atop the single-discipline rankings. The meet on Saturday between the two teams will start at 11 a.m. and will consist of Jumping Seat events only.
The remainder of the Cowgirls' schedule beyond this weekend consists of hosting the Big 12 Championships March 24-25 in Stillwater before they look to defend their NCEA national title in Ocala, Florida, April 13-15.
