Naomi Honored As Big 12 Player Of The Week

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball's Kiley Naomi has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
The two-time All-Big 12 honoree claimed the first weekly conference honor of her career with a stellar offensive performance at the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational from February 16-18.
The graduate shortstop went 7-for-12 (.583) with 4 HR – including a two-HR game in back-to-back at-bats against No. 8/9 Virginia Tech on February 17 and her first career grand slam against RV/22 Louisiana on February 18 – along with seven runs scored and 12 RBI. On the weekend, she tallied 20 total bases and a 1.667 slugging percentage.
In the field, she was responsible for three putouts, 12 assists and zero errors, maintaining a 1.000 fielding percentage in five games started.
Naomi's conference recognition marks the second-consecutive week in which a Cowgirl has been bestowed the honor; Kelly Maxwell was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on February 14.
Naomi and the Cowgirls are back in action Friday as they take on New Mexico at 10 a.m. CT in the first of four games from the Troy Cox Classic hosted by New Mexico State in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
