Cowgirls Check In At No. 4/4 After TaxAct Clearwater Invite Sweep

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball remains in the top five of both national polls, ranked No. 4 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and ranked No. 4 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.
The ranking rounds out a handful of top-five rankings Oklahoma State has compiled after the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational. A look at the full list of the Cowgirls' rankings:
- No. 3 in the Softball America College Top 25
- No. 3 in the D1Softball Top 25
- No. 4 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25
- No. 4 in the USA Today/NFCA DI Top 25 Coaches Poll
The Cowgirls are coming off their first sweep of the Clearwater Invitational in school history, with four run rule victories and a walk-off win over No. 8/9 Virginia Tech. OSU outscored its opponents 55-17 and hit 12 home runs over the weekend.
Up next, the Pokes head to Las Cruces, N.M., for the Troy Cox Classic this weekend, where they're slated to play four games, the first of which pits OSU against New Mexico on Friday at 10 a.m. CT.
On the way home from the Troy Cox Classic, the Cowgirls make a stop in El Paso, Texas to take on UTEP at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday.
