OSU Indoor Track & Field Prepares for Final Regular Season Contest
February 16, 2023 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track, Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State indoor track & field travels to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday, which serves as the final regular season meet of the indoor season.
The sixth-ranked Cowboys have risen in every poll so far this season, reaching their second-highest ranking in team history at No. 6 this week.
As it stands, four different Cowboys across three separate events would qualify individually for the NCAA Indoor Championships in March, with the men's Distance Medley Relay squad also currently punching their ticket.
For the 21st-ranked Cowgirls, Gabija Galvydyte, Taylor Roe, Natalie Cook, Ariadni Adamopoulou, Bailey Golden and the DMR squad would all head to Albuquerque, N.M., for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
However, both DMR groups will look to solidify their position at the national meet with another top performance this weekend as several teams around the country attempt to earn an automatic qualifying bid in the event.
So far this season, seven school records have been broken, with the men's 3,000 Meter record falling twice, both times by Messaoudi.
Following the Arkansas Qualifier, OSU will head to Lubbock, Texas, for the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 24-25. The Championships will be aired on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
