OSU Softball Slots In At No. 5/5 After Opening Weekend

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball remains in the top five of both national polls, ranked No. 5 in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25.

The mark rounds out a handful of top-five rankings Oklahoma State has compiled after opening weekend. A look at the full list of the Cowgirls' preseason rankings:

- No. 5 in the Softball America College Top 25
- No. 5 in the D1Softball Top 25
- No. 5 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Collegiate Top 25
- No. 5 in the USA Today/NFCA DI Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll

The Cowgirls got the 2023 season off to a 3-1 start at the Puerto Vallarta College challenge, where they picked up wins over No. 24/22 Oregon and No. RV/RV Ole Miss.

OSU is headed to Clearwater, Florida, to compete in the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational, where they'll play four games against opponents ranked in either one or both national polls.

Action gets underway Thursday when the Cowgirls take on Texas A&M at 9 a.m. CT.
