Samantha Show to Return as Guest Speaker for Cowgirl Softball Diamond Club Banquet
November 06, 2023 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Former OSU Softball standout Samantha Show will return to Stillwater to serve as a guest speaker for the Cowgirl Softball Diamond Club Banquet, which takes place Feb. 3 at the Wes Watkins Center.
Show garnered All-America honors during her lone season with the Cowgirls in 2019, as she played a pivotal role in OSU making the NCAA Women's College World Series for the first time since 2011. Oklahoma State has gone on to make four consecutive WCWS appearances from 2019-23.
"It's with honor that we welcome Samantha Show back to Stillwater," head coach Kenny Gajewski said. "She is responsible for changing the trajectory of Cowgirl Softball and helping us get back to the national stage."
The charismatic Show became a national-level star during her time at OSU. At the plate, the East Bernard, Texas, native batted .333 and set single-season records with 20 home runs and 134 total bases. She also stood out in the circle, maintaining a 2.34 ERA while picking up 22 wins on the year.
"I'm so excited to come back and speak at the banquet this year," Show said. "I love coming back to Stillwater and what I love even more is being around the Cowgirls."
Since graduating from Oklahoma State, Show has continued her softball career professionally, first with Athletes Unlimited and most recently with the Texas Smoke in the Women's Professional Fastpitch (WPF) softball league. The two-way star picked up All-WPF honors as she helped lead the Texas Smoke to the inaugural WPF Championship.
There are multiple ways to attend the event. You can purchase a 10-seat table (or nine if you want a student-athlete to sit with you), or you can purchase a seat at a Cowgirl Softball's coach's table for an increased price. You can also purchase an individual ticket for $100. Table prices and information on purchasing tickets will be made available at a later date.
The program will start at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 inside the Wes Watkins Center.
