Cowboy and Cowgirl Cross Country Travel to Virginia for NCAA Cross Country Championships
November 16, 2023 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
THE BASICS
Oklahoma State cross country enters the NCAA Championships hot off its sweep of the Midwest Regional Championships, with the Cowboys and Cowgirls scoring less points combined than any individual team at the regional meet. Both squads have been ranked in the top 5 in all but one poll this season and are looking to bring home OSU's 53rd and 54th NCAA titles on Saturday.Â
RUN IT BACK
The Cowboys return to the course following their back-to-back victories at the Big 12 and Midwest Regional meets. Big 12 Champion Brian Musau, Midwest Champion Denis Kipngetich and All-Americans Alex Maier, Fouad Messaoudi and Victor Shitsama have the Cowboys in prime position to bring home the program's fifth NCAA title on the grass.Â
The Cowgirls are coming off their Midwest Regional Championship performance in which they scored just 30 points overall. Big 12 Champion Taylor Roe, Midwest Champion Billah Jepkirui and All-Americans Molly Born and Gabija Galvydyte are looking to improve upon their program-best fourth-place finish in 2022.Â
