Cowgirl Golf Prepped for Pair of Midweek Tournaments

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State women's golf is prepped for action on Monday, competing at the Illini Women's Invitational in Medinah, Ill. The team will also send a trio of individuals to the Dale McNamara Invitational in Broken Arrow, Okla.
The Illini Women's Invitational boasts a par-72, 6,166-yard layout on course No. 2 of the Medinah Country Club, while the Dale McNamara Invitational carries a par-72, 6,242-yard layout at The Golf Club of Oklahoma.

Both tournaments mark familiar territory for the Cowgirls, as they return to Medinah Country Club for its second-consecutive season, while also taking individuals to The Golf Club of Oklahoma for its third-straight year.
Medinah Country Club is regarded as one of the premier private country clubs in the country. Located 25 miles west of Chicago, this course carries a 120,000-square foot clubhouse and three world-class courses.
Opened in 1925, course No. 2 is a classic course in the region, with course No. 3 hosting a bevy of prolific events, including the Ryder Cup (2012), three U.S. Opens (1949, 1975, and 1990), two PGA Championships (1999, 2006), and three Western Opens (1946, 1962 and 1966).
Maddy in Medinah
Maddison Hinson-Tolchard found her way into the record book last year in Medinah, posting a 54-hole score of 12-under 204. Her 54-hole score ranked top 10 in program history, failing three strokes shy of the record, which was set by Maja Stark in the 2020-2021 season.
Individually, she placed third at the event – carding in rounds of 70-65-69.
All Hands on Deck
For the first time this season, all nine Cowgirl golfers will compete in action across the teams' pair of tournaments.
Cowgirl returners Martin and Pfefferkorn and freshmen Silchenko and Bushnell make their debuts at Medinah Country Club on Monday. For Pfefferkorn, she plays as an individual in Medinah after leading the Cowgirls individually last season at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
Fifth-year seniors Ashton Begley and Jenna Solheim will post their first appearances of the season in Broken Arrow, looking to make their mark in the field.
