Komar, Gonzalez Complete Upset at ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N. C. – Oklahoma State women's tennis team members competed in the Round of 16 in the singles and doubles main draws at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina on Thursday.
The Cowgirl duo of Anastasiya Komar and Raquel Gonzalez captured their biggest win yet as a doubles team, defeating the nationally ranked No. 4 doubles team of Jaedan Brown and Kari Miller from Michigan, 6-4, 6-3. With the win, they advance to the quarterfinals and will face the No. 46 team of Melodie Collard and Annabelle Xu from Virginia tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT.
In the singles main draw, Ange Oby Kajuru saw her tournament come to an end. The Iowa State transfer fell to No. 2 Mary Stoiana from Texas A&M, 6-4, 4-6, 5-7, ending a run that saw her battle through the qualifying draw and earn a win in the main draw yesterday.
