Kajuru Earns Main Draw Bid at ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N. C. – Kristina Novak and Ange Oby Kajuru of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team competed in the singles qualifying draw at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina on Tuesday.
Kajuru punched her ticket to the singles main draw, capturing two wins on Tuesday. First, she defeated Anna Campana of Pepperdine in comeback fashion, winning 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 6-0. She followed that with a victory over North Carolina's Anika Yarlagadda, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, to secure her spot in the main draw. Novak fell to South Carolina's Sarah Hamner, 6-2, 6-2, ending her run in the tournament.
Kajuru, along with Anastasiya Komar, will compete in the singles main draw beginning tomorrow. Komar will also team up with Raquel Gonzalez in the doubles main draw, also set to begin tomorrow. Opponents and match times are still to be determined.
