Peyre, Miyamoto Reach Semifinals at Jackson 15k

JACKSON, Tenn. – Lucia Peyre and Ayumi Miyamoto of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the main draw at the ITF Jackson 15k pro circuit event in Jackson, Tenn., on Friday.
Peyre, the tournament's top seed, defeated Wisconsin's Taylor Cataldi in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, while Miyamoto bested Spaniard Carolina Gomez, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. The two will play on opposite sides of the semifinals tomorrow with a chance to meet in the final, as Peyre will face third-seeded Carolyn Ansari and Miyamoto will take on seven seed Panna Bartha.
In doubles, Peyre and Miyamoto saw their run as partners come to an end at the hands of the top-seeded pairing of Connie Hsu and Anita Sahdiieva, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3, (8-10). Kristina Novak and her partner, fellow Slovenian Lara Smejkal, were also eliminated on Friday, falling to third-seeded Adeline Flach and Angella Okutoyi.
