October 17, 2023 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Lexi Kilfoyl struck out seven in three innings of work as part of the Oklahoma State softball team's 6-1 exhibition win over Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday evening at Cowgirl Stadium.
Ivy Rosenberry started the game in the circle and tallied six strikeouts in the first three innings. Katie Kutz, Kathryn Ogg and Kilfoyl combined to close out the rest of the game.
After spotting the Bison a 1-0 lead in the second inning, OSU scored six unanswered to claim the win. Catcher Caroline Wang got the Cowgirls on the board when she drove in Tallen Edwards with a single in the third and an RBI single from Micaela Wark in the fourth put OSU on top.
Neither team scored again until the Cowgirls blew the game open with a four-run 10th inning that was sparked by a two-run single from freshman Taylor Anderson and a pair of RBI doubles from freshman Rosie Davis and sophomore Haidyn Sokoloski.
The fall exhibition schedule continues when the Cowgirls host Oklahoma Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, in Cowgirl Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.
