Cowgirls Defeat Seminole State, 9-3, in Fall Exhibition

STILLWATER, Okla.- A fourteen-hit performance propelled Oklahoma State to a 9-3 win over Seminole State Tuesday night at Cowgirl Stadium.
Katie Kutz began the game in the circle, retiring nine of 11 batters in three innings. Ivy Rosenberry collected six strikeouts while Lexi Kilfoyl tallied five.
Karli Godwin and Rosie Davis both hit solo homeruns, and Megan Bloodworth doubled twice. Claire Timm, Tallen Edwards, Katie Lott and Caroline Wang also doubled in the game.
The Cowgirls jumped to a 3-0 lead through four innings, and a triple from Wang pushed the Cowgirls to a 5-1 lead after seven. Davis homered over the center field fence in the eighth, Kilfoyl added a two-RBI single in the ninth and Wang's double capped the scoring in the 10th and final frame.
The fall exhibition schedule continues when the Cowgirls host Oklahoma Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17, in Cowgirl Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.
