STILLWATER — Oklahoma State indoor track & field hits the road for a pair of meets in Lubbock, Texas, and Norman, Okla.
Charlie Bartholomew opens his sophomore indoor season coming off an outdoor campaign that included two gold medals and a bronze medal at the 2022 U20 World Track & Field Championships in Cali, Colombia. Bartholomew also set the outdoor school record in the 400 Meters at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships with a time of 45.40 seconds.
Bartholomew will be competing in the 600 Yards alongside teammates EJ Berry and DJ McArthur. The trio and Koryee Wyatt will also open in the 4x400 Meter Relay. The quartet set the school record in the 4x400 outdoors at the Texas Relays last March while also qualifying for the West Prelims in the event.
In the throws arena, Sam Mason is competing for the second time this season in the Weight Throw and Shot Put after opening up at the Arkansas Invitational last weekend. For the Cowgirls, Tori Ortiz, Ansley Scott, Kalaya Ali and Tamara Woodley open up the women's 4x400 Meter Relay for the first time this season. Woodley was on both 4x400 squads that set the indoor and outdoor school record in the event at the Big 12 Championships and Baylor Invitational, respectively.
In the field events, school record holders Saara Hakanen (High Jump and Triple Jump) and Ariadni Adamopoulou (Pole Vault) each compete for the second weekend in a row after kicking off their indoor campaigns at the Arkansas Invitational.
