Maxwell, Alexander Named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State softball graduate senior Chelsea Alexander and redshirt junior Kelly Maxwell have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team.
The duo represents the newest additions to Oklahoma State's all-time CoSIDA Academic All-American selections – now at 103, including 15 in the sport of softball.
Alexander posted a 3.94 GPA in her undergraduate studies of agricultural communications. In her first year as a graduate student, she boasts a 4.00 GPA studying business administration.
Maxwell owns a 3.63 GPA and graduated in May with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology.
For the second-straight year, Cowgirl softball has had two student-athletes named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans; Hayley Busby and Carrie Eberle were each honored at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
This postseason marks the time third time Cowgirl softball has had multiple selections and is tied for second most season behind a trio of Cowgirls who earned the honor in 1991.
