Cowgirl Softball Falls In Final Regular Season Contest

NORMAN, Okla. – The No. 7 Oklahoma State softball team lost to No. 1 Oklahoma, 5-3, on Saturday in Norman.
OSU fell to 38-12 and 14-3 in the Big 12. Oklahoma improved to 48-1 and 17-1.
Kelly Maxwell took the loss, moving to 15-4. She allowed five runs - four earned - on two hits in five innings of work. She struck out three, walked two and hit three batters.
In the second inning, OSU jumped on the board first via a two-run home run from Hayley Busby. Five OU runs were scored in the fourth and fifth. Chyenne Factor walked in another Cowgirl run in the sixth.
Next up, OSU will be the No. 2 seed at the Big 12 Tournament in Oklahoma City. The Cowgirls face No. 7 seed Kansas at 3 p.m. CT Thursday. The winner of that game takes on the winner of No. 3 Texas vs. No. 6 Texas Tech at 4 p.m. Friday.
