Three Cowgirls Selected To Compete In The NCAA Individual Championships

STILLWATER— Three Oklahoma State Cowgirls were selected to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Subcommittee announced today.
Cowgirl veteran and first-team All-Big 12 singles selection Lisa Marie Rioux and fellow first teamer and Big 12 Freshman of the Year Mhai Sawangkaew were at-large selections for the singles bracket. Representing the Cowgirls in doubles action will be the court one All-Big 12 tandem of Lisa Marie Rioux and Ayumi Miyamoto, who hold an impressive 17-3 clip on the year.
In singles play, 64 players were selected along with 32 doubles teams to compete in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships. The singles and doubles competitions will be conducted May 23-28 at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Illinois, after the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 20-22. The University of Illinois will serve as the host institution for the event.
All matches shall be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches. In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set.
