Maxwell Awarded Big 12 Pitcher Of The Week Honors

STILLWATER – For the third time this season, Oklahoma State's Kelly Maxwell was recognized as Big 12 Softball Pitcher of the Week, it was announced today.
Maxwell appeared in three of OSU's four games last week, starting once and coming out of the bullpen in the other two. Her lone start resulted in a complete game shutout win at Baylor and she held Tulsa and Baylor scoreless in her two relief appearances. In those three scoreless outings combined, she struck out 13 batters in nine innings of work and allowed only four hits.
On the year, Maxwell is 12-0 with a 1.03 earned run average. She has 158 strikeouts in 88.2 innings pitched and is holding opponents to a .127 batting average. Her three Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors this season ties for most in the conference.
