Four Cowgirls Pick Up All-Big 12 Honors

STILLWATER – Four members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team have earned All-Big 12 honors it was announced by the conference on Thursday.
The Cowgirls garnered two first-team selections in singles with senior Lisa Marie Rioux and freshman Mhai Sawangkaew earning the distinction. Rioux has posted an impressive final campaign, going 10-6 overall. Sawangkaew turned in a stellar season to serve up her collegiate career at the No. 2 spot, going 17-2 in dual matches.
Sawangkaew was also named the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year and was selected to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team. Additionally, she was named an individual season champion by position as the top No. 2 singles player in the conference.
The conference recognized two Cowgirl doubles teams as 13th-ranked Lisa Marie Rioux and Ayumi Miyamoto picked up first-team honors. Coming off back-to-back ranked victories at the Big 12 Championships, the court one tandem holds a 17-3 clip on the year.
The Cowgirl pair of Martina Zerulo and Mhai Sawangkaew were selected to the second team. Competing at the No. 2 spot, Zerulo and Sawangkaew have racked up a 9-4 overall record.
OSU will learn its draw in the upcoming 2022 NCAA Championship during the Division I selection show on Monday, May 2.
